Calling all female and non-binary school students to join King's College London in Unlocking AI & Computer Science!
Unlocking AI & Computer Science is back for a second year with a series of online sessions where you can explore the broad field of computer science and AI.
This programme is for female students currently in Year 12 or Year 13 who are considering applying for a university degree in Computer Science or something related.
Through this 8-week online programme, participants will meet other people interested in computer science and discover cutting-edge research in AI and tech.
Computer science is a predominantly male field – what’s it like to be a woman in this area? Students will hear first-hand from researchers and students and think about where computer science can take them.
Apply by 23:59 on Sunday 28 September 2025 to take part.
Dates and Location
Unlocking AI & Computer Science is an online programme, running Thursdays from 17:30-18:45. Sessions are on 2 October, 9 October, 16 October, 23 October, 13 November, 20 November, 27 November, and 4 December.
Each session will feature interactive talks on AI or Computer Science from one of King's researchers. One of the sessions will cover UCAS applications and participants will be able to ask computer science students how it is to study computer science and AI at King’s. The series will finish with a discussion panel, where you will hear from women who work in tech about their experiences of working in the field.
Participants who attend at least six of the sessions will be eligible for a digital certificate of completion for the programme. Sessions will be recorded so students can catch up if they miss one.
