Shedding New Light on the Universe
Oriel Science, a Science Centre in Swansea city centre, is offering a free workshop to explore the wonders of the universe!

Students will learn about the incredible tools astronomers use to study distant stars and galaxies, including the powerful James Webb Space Telescope and robotic telescopes like the Faulkes Telescope in Hawaii.

Through interactive exhibits and hands-on experiments, learners will discover the secrets of different wavelengths of light and how they help us unlock the secrets of the cosmos.

The workshop is linked to the National Curriculum for Wales, with activities carefully differentiated for years 3 to 13. It is inclusive, engaging, and designed to deliver a high-quality experience that is both educational and inspiring for all.

It's an out-of-this-world experience you won't forget!

Duration and availability

Lasting approximately 90 mins, the workshop can accommodate between 15 and 36 participants.

Book anytime between 10am and 3pm Tuesday to Friday during term time.

Cost and location

Each workshop is funded by the Centre's generous sponsors and is free for state schools.
