Workshop
Pupils will work in pairs, one class at a time, to code robot vehicles using BBC micro:bits, iPads and Invent! engineer kits.
This activity is for students in Years 3-6 with differentiated topics. Students will work in pairs, one class at a time, to code a BBC micro:bit to control Invent Engineer robot vehicles with an iPad.
Students will:
Logistics
A full day at school which provides 3 classes in separate sessions (x30 pupils in each session). Typically 2 sessions in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
This session is run by a SATRO STEM Tutor with experience in education and has undertaken Robotics Training at the European Space Agency.
Cost
SATRO have secured funding for 2024/2025 and are able to reduce their prices for State Primary and SEN workshops:
State Primary and SEN Schools: £225 for a full day (3 sessions at £75 each)
Independent Schools: £600 for a full day (3 sessions at £200 each)
Bookings on two consecutive days: 10% discount.
Three or more bookings made in the same enquiry: 10% discount.
The provider operates in the Surrey region, so mileage and other expenses may be charged for schools further afield.
