Check here, it just takes a second. If it's not available we'll direct you to experiences that are!

Students work in teams of 3 to build a prototype Fan-Powered Car to a fixed design. They test the prototype to establish a benchmark performance and are then given access to different components to try to improve the performance of their cars.

Throughout the session, teams are encouraged to take multiple readings of their cars performance and average results. They are also encouraged to think about what constitutes a fair test in this context, and use their knowledge of forces and energy to optimise car performance.

It all ends in an exciting final race-off!

Duration and capacity

Typically 2 hours with 300 participants but there's an all-day version for up to 60 participants.

Cost and location

Starts at £550 + VAT.
