Workshop
A virtual live lesson for for students aged 7 to 11 years old on 11 March highlighting the role technology plays in living in space, and what careers are available.
Join Tech She Can on Tuesday 11 March at 2:00pm, when their Tech She Can Teacher, Poppy, will deliver a free virtual 50 minute Tech We Can LIVE lesson for students aged 7-11. This will be an interactive session where the children will be guided to complete paper based tasks and partner discussions - they therefore need to be based at a table with a piece of paper and pen/pencil.
Poppy will highlight the role technology plays in helping astronauts stay healthy in space, how technology can be used to communicate with people in space and even how technology helps keep astronauts entertained. She will also show some of the careers within space technology that students could pursue in the future. The students will also have the opportunity to hear from some space technology role models.
The content is ideal for a KS2 in England and Wales (P4 - P7 in Scotland) in the classroom environment or from home.
